How do we get our voices heard over the noise?

It’s a question Emily and myself have been asking since day one. We have tried to play the game and not offend anyone and to our surprise found that we still offended people. That let us into a new chapter of letting our voices and our opinions about certain matters be heard loud and proud. Now the fear of offending, anyone has gone right out the window. We figure, if you don’t like our content, you can kindly click off and find a different platform that feels, more in a line with your views. We thought maybe that’s the golden ticket. We’ll find more people like-minded, and our content will grow. But we still feel like we haven’t seen as much of growth as we would’ve liked to which let us to believe that our voices were STILL not being heard above the noise.

I’ve decided to take a step back and look at everything from a different perspective. See it’s so easy to look at all the things you’re not getting instead of appreciating the things that you do have, and that you have accomplished. Three years ago we were two shells of who we are now. The personal growth that has happened through this process is significantly more impactful than anything that we’ve put out. At least that’s how I feel. Yes, we joke around that we make no money doing this podcast but money isn’t the end all be all for what it is we’re trying to achieve. Some of the goals that we had were to actually make an impact on someone else, in the way that they think, they are confidence, their thoughts on life, and a whole other slew of things that we could get into. And if we were to take time to step back and look at our platform as a whole, we would see that we’ve achieved those things.

I guess the moral of what I’m trying to say is that it’s so much easier to see what you don’t have instead of what you do have. Taking time to reflect on the good that you’ve accomplished will allow you to see how far you’ve come.

It’s so much harder to see what you achieved when you’re in the middle of achieving it.

Celebrate your accomplishments. You’ll look back one day and be PROUD of where you are.

Much love,

Stephanie
