It's Never Too Late

When we reach a certain point in our lives we often think it’s too late to find a new job, look for love, have kids, and start over. But what if we changed our mindset and decided it’s never too late to be happy?

If you find yourself going down a path and the path ends up not leading you to where you thought you wanted to go, why do we immediately feel like we are failures? It’s just not true. You took a chance and it didn’t work out, you are still a badass who gave it their all.

Living without happiness is like living without breath, you can’t do it, so stop trying. Whatever your truth is, you deserve to live in it and find your own happiness.

We owe it to ourselves to live the little time we have on this Earth to the fullest and try to find our own definition of happiness. Just because those who came before us found their way following one path doesn’t mean we can’t follow another.

I want to talk about my dad for a second. My dad always wanted to be an actor, but when he was growing up being a male actor wasn’t exactly accepted. So he put his dreams on the back burner, became a children’s teacher, and did community theater here and there. One time he played Moonface Martin in the show Anything Goes and I remember sitting there watching him thinking I’d never seen him happier.

So why not do the things that make us happy? It’s never too late to start living your dream. There is no universe timer going off saying you're too late. All you have to do is start by taking one step.

Don’t put your dreams off for one more day. Make yourself and your happiness a priority and you’re already on your way.

Love your Cycle Half,

Emily

Lovely post.

"Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans" but hold on the dreams and make them happen when life is not getting in the way.
